Vizio.com was/is selling this same tv for $1499 plus a ridiculous $300 shipping. My local Costco (Newport News, VA) had about 5 on the floor and I got one of them for $1199+Tax. (MSRP $1499). I have had the Vizio P42HDTV that I’ve purchased 3 years ago and it still performs well. If you are in for a large size plasma, I think this TV is the best bang for the buck. I was finally going to give up, until I received a mail circular on Wednesday December 30 regarding a sale at hhgregg which had a b42 LG 720p LCD, Model No: 42LG30, for $599.00/b. On circular the sale was stated to begin January 10-11. Brandsmart had the identical TV the day after Christmas for around $630.00, but the price went up shortly after. I was pissed when I missed this deal. br /Anyways, I called hhgregg regarding sale, a sales person told me they would honor circular anytime and to just come to store. To make a long story short, the first bitchy sales reprehensive didnt want to honor circular, telling me that I had to purchase on sale days specified. When I asked to talk to manager, manager told me it was common practice to honor circular as soon as people start receiving them in the mail. He sold me the TV for $599.00, $630.00 including taxes and financed for 12 months no interest. I though this was an awesome deal for a 720p entry level LCD, and just wanted to share and open discussion. br /Please note that manager kept circular so it would be nice if someone who had this circular could share a scan of the circular. br /I also wanted to share that some people have mixed reviews regarding this lcd as it is only 720p and may not have the best color and resolution capabilities regarding motion?
